The Vande Bharat Sleeper train is officially ready for commercial service. Bookings open today, while operations start from January 22. This launch signals a new era for long-distance premium rail travel.
The first commercial runs are scheduled to begin on:
- January 22, 2026 from Kamakhya (Train No. 27576)
- January 23, 2026 from Howrah (Train No. 27575)
Booking Starts Today: How to Reserve Seats
Bookings open today through authorized ticketing channels. Passengers can reserve berths using IRCTC’s website or mobile application. Furthermore, reservation counters at stations will also support bookings.
- Ticket Types: Only confirmed tickets are issued; there is no Reservation Against Cancellation (RAC) or waitlist facility.
- Journey Time: Approximately 14 hours.
- Operating Days: Six days a week (except Wednesdays from Kamakhya and Thursdays from Howrah)
- Fares (approximate, inclusive of GST):
- AC 3-Tier: ₹2,435
- AC 2-Tier: ₹3,145
- AC 1st Class: ₹3,855
